This time I break down the thought process behind my inspired version of the Mount Tattis facility from the Bad Batch!
Something a bit different in this experimental episode! Introducing the 'RBB Almost Live shows' these run alongside my main build episodes, these are real-time largely unedited videos! I will cover the different concepts of my builds, essentially jumping on my workstation, rolling cameras and mic, and seeing where it takes us.

There is no videos about 3d animation with forger . Is it possible to make 3d animation , rigging , making a scene with this app?
It's more of a sculpting app than animation but you can use web based platforms like Mixamo to help with the animation. As many have said here Nomad Sculpt is also worth checking out!
@@RebelBaseBuilds Thanks a lot .
A bit of silver pin striping around where you’ve engraved the foam would look good!
Great work, horrible background music.
Thank you, and you are right, it's awful, not sure what I was thinking there...
Try this version my music choice was better in the full build ua-cam.com/video/e0Ge8MJVU5w/v-deo.html
Old but amazing map I wish we can find map source
Thank you!
That looks great!
Thanks buddy!
Insightful to the thought process, looking forward for the next one.
Thanks buddy!
love love LOVE this kind of stuff. please keep it up and it looks amazing.
Fantastic to hear thank you!! Lots more coming!
Great video James! I would love to see more of this kind of videos. How long did it take to create this model?
Thank you for checking it out! Glad you enjoyed it, this diorama took around 3 hours altogether to model (I screen recorded the build for a later video so was able to go back and look at the total record time)! There's nothing too complex about this one though 😃👊
I used to make stuff like this in Second Life using prims. Stools, tables, guitars...it was a lot of fun but I ended up giving up on it as I've never been that great at it. I have difficulty grasping distances and measurements in 3D. It made it so that creating things that were accurate scale-wise (like guitar bodies, necks, tuners, etc) was too difficult. I kind of miss it, especially since 3D printers have come down in price by quite a lot. I'd love to make things like this and custom miniature guitars and figures.
So cool that you had a go though! Thanks for watching
Great video. Do you sell your files for 3D printing?
Thank you, yes I do via Etsy but all are available via Patreon too. Search Rebel Base Builds. Thanks for watching!!
This was great, thank you for sharing your knowledge! Keep up the fantastic work mate!
No worries, thanks for watching and feeding back!
That was fun. 3DMax looks more in depth than fusion, or so it seems. But its really fun watching you move around and show us your brain. Love it!
Thanks bud, yeah for sure, lots under the hood!
Great video, James! Can't wait to see more from this series!
Thanks bro
I very much appreciate this video as someone who is gradually stepping into 3D designing my own SW dioramas.
Thats great feedback, thank you, much more planned in this style!
I just subscribed to you by the way!
Hi James, I for one would love to watch some more videos of your 3D creative process, I'm finding the whole subject quite fascinating.
Thank you friend, appreciate the feedback it's very helpful, it's definitely a fascinating topic!
👍
👊
You could have used coffee also instead of tea it might have turned out darker
Honestly I had to turn it off. Your use of hot glue was upsetting
I'm honestly so grateful, your view and comment served the algorithm and my video well, now sorry can't chat too busy sticking random things together with my glue gun..
By the way, waiting for your channel and your videos so I can comment on your non use..? No? K then.
Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
I appreciate the hot glue alerts just as much as I appreciate the welding flash blurs that the more responsible crafting channels provide. Thanks for that. Gotta say, though, watching people use hot glue only hurts when they're doing it wrong, when that is the worst possible choice, and when they fail to clear away the sloppy strings during touch-ups. You actually use it well, and while the warnings do help to soften the blow of seeing it, it really doesn't even hurt that bad. Kudos to ya.
Haha love this comment so much! Thanks for the support!
forger, the app that makes you pay them each month and only had 1 meaningful update in over 2 years, the rest of updates are: - support for more languages (this one is funny, they did this same update each month for a year) - UI fixes and updates - performance updates - bug fixes And they never specified anything in those updates. No wonder it has a 1.9 out of 5 rating. It's sad because I owned the original and supported the original creator but he sold his soul to maxon and they made it subscription model to milk the users without adding anything worth it for over 2 years so far.
Oh, ok, well I like it
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
:)
Very cool.
👊
Beauty!!!
👊
Wow!
👊
The way you used bark to make rocks BLEW My Mind!
👊
Well done
👊
Came out amazing. 👍😎
Thanks 👍
Great tips. The powders are awesome but the washes are also cool..'Clay' coloured acrylic has a really nice weathering colour.
Thanks for watching and for taking the time to feedback!
Of course I like and enjoy watching your videos being that I to am a Star Wars fan from way back in 1977
Thank you!
Hello, Is this challenge open to anyone? I just wanted to make sure there weren't any specific rules we had to follow before I started making anything.
Hey thank you, open to everyone and please do feel free to email as per the video instructions thank you 😊😊👊
@RebelBaseBuilds. Okay, thank you. I did send an email last week, but haven't received a response yet. Maybe it went to your spam. I will try sending it again. Great challenge, can't wait to start building.
666 likes! Great build!
👊👊
You really brought him to life!!! ❤😊❤
Loved watching this build!! Fantastic!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You actually got the notoriously awful electronics working too! More than I can say for myself.
Was a challenge to be sure haha! Thanks for watching 👊
Fantastic can’t wait to see the full size Droid get weathered !!
ooooh now theres an idea...
I enjoy weathering. Looking forward to the rest of your droid videos.
Thank you! yup going to plan out the stand soon, just thinking about the theme I'm thinking Tatooine probably, but do like the idea of a Millennium falcon hallway cuttaway..
Lovely work. I find weathering such a satisfying process, to watch and to do.
Many thanks!
Nice work as always. The weathering looks so good.
Thank you very much!
Excellent job!
That means a lot coming from the weather master! Thanks buddy!
Thanks for the path down memory lane. I got as far as printing the dome for R2, but now you have two of them under your belt. Great work my friend! My favorite part of R2D2 is when we find out that he has jet propulsion and oil slicks, LOVED THAT! And that was in the Prequels go figure.
Thanks for watching man, I remember you talking about building an R2... you should go for it!
May the 4th be with you.
And to you
R2 - D2 is still my all time favorite robot ever since I saw Star Wars when it first hit theaters in 1977. My mom said I was obsessed with robots, of course seriously what geek doesn't like them? And don't be ashamed of playing with Your Star Wars toys at 50, I'm 60 and still do plus Hot wheels, Matchbox, and Legos
Right?? It's a crazy good and timeless design.. thanks for watching!
@@RebelBaseBuilds Yeah, my mom said R2-D2 reminded her of a trash can which I think that is what inspired his creation
That's awesome
May the 4th be with you
And to you!
